This short movie shows the very limited possibilities for unskilled black women in Cape Town who grew up during apartheid. Despite the abolition of apartheid in 1990 and the first democratic elections in South Africa in 1994, black women of the older generation have limited choice in ways to make their money while they often maintain whole families. This picture is taken in a house that is located in a neighborhood which was off limits for non-whites until 1990.
